Our tropical inspired Front Bar recalls the classic nightclubs of Cuba in the 1950’s. White washed booth seating, colourful fairy lights, ferns and primitive modernist murals inspire a holiday right in the centre of town! The Front Bar opens in the late afternoon and most often remains free entry right through the night. Belly Bao is located within the Front Bar, serving until late from under it’s famed neon sign. Check the menu over here.
The Front Bar has plenty of seating for eating or drinking, with booths for up to 12 people and tables available for parties of 2 up to 40!
From 9pm, DJs are ready to inspire you off your seat and onto the dancefloor where we push tables aside and turn the timber floor area into a great mess hall!

GOODGOD has been around in various forms since 2008. First a club night, then a record label and back-room dancefloor of a Spanish restaurant. But it was the October long weekend of 2010 that GOODGOD as we now know it opened and set about changing what this city could offer.
The dream for GOODGOD’s co-owners Jimmy Sing and Hana Shimada was to create a space that offered more wonder than Sydney’s established moulds of a pub, a wine bar or a bangin’ nightclub. And so, with the help of a very dedicated community of music-lovers, artists and party-heads, GOODGOD, the one-stop funhouse was born.
Making it more than just a fun hangout, GOODGOD pushes itself to musically stay ahead of the curve and recognise the most exciting new sounds and artists. In its short history it’s been a Sydney home for bands that are now taking to the sky such as Seekae, Canyons, Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Royal Headache. Even international guests have recognised this with Diplo, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Spank Rock, A-Trak, De La Soul, 2 Many DJs (playing a surprise set in the front bar) all becoming regulars returning each time they’re in town.
This recipe of incredibly curated independent music, a reliably feverish dancefloor, punch jugs and a perfect hot dog now sees GOODGOD packed out every weekend. As well as working with Sydney’s cream of the crop GOODGOD has collaborated with a bunch of their favourite out-of-town labels, bands and projects to create special Sydney club nights including Young Turks, Cut Copy, Boiler Room, Numbers and Mad Decent.
In 2011, FBi Radio and a panel of arts and cultural leaders awarded Sing and Shimada with the SMAC of the Year, the ‘Gold Logie’ of the Sydney Music Arts & Culture awards for the venue’s contribution to the city. In 2012, the Sydney Opera House invited GOODGOD to transport the Danceteria to the iconic Sydney building and host a massive party as part of their Vivid Live program. Then in 2013, GOODGOD was invited back for another party plus the opportunity to build a pop-up club overlooking the harbour for the 2 weeks of Vivid. This waterside club was born as Apollonia! GOODGOD has continued to curate stages and experiences at other prominent Australian festivals including Splendour In The Grass, OutsideIn and Laneway Festival.
