So, the first weekend of lockout has passed. We made it guys. Everything’s still running.
The new lockout laws are, of course, a total bummer – they’re making it harder to get into late night cultural venues like Goodgod and putting unnecessary deadlines on your partying. But they still leave room for you to have a huge night out in the Small Club, so here’s some tips!
1. If you’re in by 1:30am, you can stay for ages!
The big headline from the new liquor laws has been a 1:30 lockout, and that’s an important one. You gotta be through the door by then. But the music will still play, the dancefloor will still shake, and the bars will still run for plenty of time. Settle in and make it a late one.
2. You can still buy drinks until 3:00am.
That’s your deadline to purchase a drink. Meaning you can purchase from the bar until then, and continue to dance as you enjoy your drink after 3am.
3. Stay indoors. Otherwise you’ll be stranded!
It’s an absolute lockout from 1:30am. So if you need to get a cab for a mate, or have a smoke, or eat some greasy late-night food… do it before 1:30am, otherwise you’ll be left out .
Got it covered now? Make sure you’re down nice n’ early for a great late night – this weekend we have Yo Grito! spinnin’ classics all night, Nina Las Vegas hosting a packed bill of rising stars, tropical hero Quantic dropping by for a party with Pineapple Republic, and an epic showdown between Jimmy Sing and Levins in the front!
Find out about everything coming up here, and we’ll see you this week!
