After announcing last month that we’re upgrading to the Joan Sutherland Theatre at this year’s Vivid Live, we’re stoked to announce the full musical lineup for this year’s intercontinental gold class concert spectacular!
A brand new event created by Goodgod and overseen with an incredible stage setup from our artistic director Hana Shimada, Goodgod Tin Pan Alley brings together an array of delights for your deluxe musical pleasure!
Already announced is our headliner, South Africa’s incredible Penny Penny. Coming from a poverty-stricken background, to work as a janitor, to stardom across Africa and a quarter-million record sales as the king of Tsonga Disco in the mid-90s, and finally international recognition recently with a re-release through Awesome Tapes from Africa, Penny Penny makes his Australian debut at Goodgod Tin Pan Alley.
Joining him is Shogun. Making his solo debut, he will perform a brand new collection of songs at Goodgod Tin Pan Alley. He’s the incredible voice behind Royal Headache, and we can’t wait to premiere his brand new solo project.
We’re stoked to welcome Adelaide’s Bart Willoughby to the bill. Best known for fronting seminal Indigenous reggae/punk group No Fixed Address, Bart brings his songs to Goodgod Tin Pan Alley in a very special performance.
Melbourne’s soft-rockin’, hard-lovin’ supergroup Montero make the trip north to bring their psychedelic pop to the Opera House.
And completing the bill is Sydney’s undisputed king of Italo-funk, Donny Benet!
It’s all happening on Friday May 30 at the Sydney Opera House. Tickets are available now, don’t delay!
