Goodgod is not just about dancing. Our Front Bar is perfect for catching up with friends over a tipple and a nibble! With plenty of cosy, whitewashed booth seating and round diner-style tables, there’s always room to settle in.
Drinks at Goodgod…
A visit to Goodgod is not complete without sharing at least one of our signature Punch Jugs!
Get to know The Teacher – our first ever ice tea blending Earl Grey and Irish Breakfast with gin, cucumber and tonic. The Jerk welcomes good-times creaming soda to the house, jiving it up with Bulleit Bourbon and glace cherries. Pop-Eye-Pop gets you spiced with Sailor Jerry’s rum, Cointreau, lychees and dry ginger ale.
But an early prediction for the Spring / Summer hit is Cool In The Pool, the tart and zany blue margarita-styled tequila pool party in a litre jug.
Check the menu for a full list of the Punch Jugs and keep an eye on our News sections for latest specials. We also serve a range of bottled beer (including Coopers, Peroni and Mexican imports Sol Cerveza or Dos Equis XX), a full array of spirits and wine – all starting from $6.
Don’t forget the Front Bar is open from 5pm on Wednesday to Friday and we’ve always got happy hour specials – knock off from work with us!
Eating at Jonkanoo Caribbean Canteen
Led by world-travelling Jamaican-American chef Damion Brown, Jonkanoo serves up delights from Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba, Haiti, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and more in the Goodgod Front Bar for a limited run!
Our menu features a range of dishes, including Jonkanoo’s signature Jerk, marinated for two days and smoked fresh daily. There’s also plenty more, including Creole curry, Caribbean sandwiches, salads, desserts and snacks!
It’s hard to think of anyone better-suited to running our canteen than Damion Brown. He started working in his family’s West Indian/Caribbean restaurants in Miami and New York from the age of 10, catering to Miami’s island diaspora including Bob Marley’s family.
Since then, he’s gone on a 35-country food safari, worked in restaurants around the world, was head chef everywhere from intimate wine cellars to the set of feature films such as The Great Gatsby, and opened the Jonkanoo restaurant in Surry Hills. Now, he’s brought his incredible flavours to Goodgod. Dig in!
